About Kayam

Kayam is an organization with a three fold mission:

-To explore the intersection of Judaism and sustainable living
-To create a vibrant, multi-faceted, inclusive, grass-roots spiritual community
-To model a sustainable urban lifestyle to the Jewish community, and to the community at large.

Kayam (קיים) is a Hebrew word with many meanings, including "everlasting," "enduring," and "surviving." Shoshanna's favorite translation is "alive and kicking!"
